I remember reading in the past about these.. I believe and correct me if i'm wrong.. $1 tops someone was selling which had small defects. Anyone know whos selling them and if so where I may purchase them? But then again i'd be greatful for any help on this. I'm in southern arizona so if theres something near by even better. Thanks. |

User sprucetonewood on eBay had 99 cent tops on eBay at one time, though he doesn't anymore. That might be who you were thinking of. He's also the guy the runs the http://www.luthierforum.com (without an "s") and sells the "Kermodie" spruce. I got some of the cheap tops along with an order of some of the better tops and I was impressed with the quality even for cheapo tops. Shipping from Canada can get pricey so ordering just one or two tops gets expensive. For all his offbeat marketing stuff, I was real pleased with the quality of what I received. You might also ask suppliers for non-bookmatched sets if you're looking for cheap stuff. |
